Who is a servant?

JOHN 13:1-17
Jesus came not to be served, but to serve
Makarias: fulfilled and blessed happy ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macarius )
Doulos: Bond servant
Mark 9:35 - whoever wants to be first MUST be last
Principle: lifetime commitment
Diakanos: deacon
Matthew 20:26-27
Principle: Waiter - wait and attend to needs of those around me - find a need and fill it
Huperetes: under-rower
Acts 26-16 - galleys of the boat - manpower to make the boat go - completely anonymous
Principle: we are anonymous - make Jesus famous - magnify Jesus, not me
Four decisions
1. Servants put service over status
Phil 2:3-4 - in humility value others above yourself
2. Servant puts character over comfort
God wants you holy, not happy
Luke 10:30-37 - go and do the same
Q 1. If I help him, what will happen to me?
Q 2. If I don't help him, what will happen to him?
3. Servant puts we over me
4. Servant puts least over me
5. Servant puts worship over wealth
Matt 25:31-36 - sheep and goats

Real worship - Matthew 25:40 - The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’
